Well, tonight we celebrated my wife's birthday. Normally, that would have meant a day of me in the kitchen baking some sort of very elaborate cake I'd never baked before. This year, things have been a little busy, so I have promised something sweet, delicious and complicated in a culinary fashion when we return.
Tomorrow we fly to England. We'll actually arrive at Gatwick on Sunday morning. The Pratchett Prize party isn't until Tuesday. I imagine we'll spend the time before then relaxing with my aunt and uncle and possibly pay a visit to Wakehurst Place, a wonderful botanical paradise just a few minutes from where we will be staying.
